CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Malicious mischief

• Damage to a vehicle in the 600 block of H Street reported at approximately 7:40 a.m. on Dec. 27 is under investigation.

• Damage to a vehicle was reported in the 200 block of South Buckner Street just before 8:45 a.m. on Dec. 27.

 

Vehicle accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue just after 12:40 p.m. on Dec. 27.

• Possible minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle collision in the 1100 block of North Pearl Street at approximately 1 p.m. on Dec. 27.

 

Forgery

• Kirstin A. Crary, 34, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1300 block of South Gold Street just before 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 27 for allegedly attempting to cash a stolen forged check at a local bank to purchase narcotics. She allegedly deposited another stolen forged check at a different bank earlier that day and withdrew the funds. She had a preliminary hearing on forgery charges scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, in Lewis County Superior Court.

 

Vehicle prowl

• At 7:35 a.m. on Dec. 28, a vehicle prowl that occurred in the 1200 block of G Street sometime overnight was reported.

• Just after 11:05 a.m. on Dec. 28, a vehicle prowl that occurred in the 500 block of West Fourth Street sometime in the last two days was reported.

 

Assault

• A 35-year-old Centralia man was arrested for fourth-degree assault in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at 11:25 a.m. on Dec. 28.

• George S. Fife, 40, of Rochester, was arrested in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just after 7:10 a.m. on Dec. 29 for allegedly assaulting a medical facility employee. He had a preliminary hearing on third-degree assault charges scheduled for 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, in Lewis County Superior Court.

 

Criminal trespass

• A 24-year-old Centralia man was arrested for trespassing in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Dec. 29.

 

Drug violation

• A 41-year-old Centralia woman and a 24-year-old Winlock resident were arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Denny Way at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Dec. 29.

 

Theft

• A 51-year-old Spanaway man was cited for third-degree theft in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 10:25 p.m. on Dec. 29.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Malicious mischief

• Third-degree malicious mischief reported in the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard at approximately 11:05 a.m. on Dec. 27 is under investigation.

 

Theft

• A subject reportedly shoplifted from a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 27.

• A subject reportedly shoplifted from a business in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard at 3 p.m. on Dec. 27.

 



Criminal trespass

• A subject was cited for trespassing at the intersection of North National Avenue and Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way just after 8:25 p.m. on Dec. 28.

• Two homeless women were cited for trespassing in the 100 block of Southwest 11th Street at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Dec. 29.

• A subject was trespassed from a property in the 200 block of Southwest Second Street just after 6:50 p.m. on Dec. 29.

 

Disputes

• A verbal dispute was reported in the 500 block of Southwest Parkland Drive just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 29.

• A “disturbance/dispute” reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 9:45 p.m. on Dec. 29 is under investigation.

 

Malicious mischief

• A juvenile reportedly broke a light in a room inside a facility in the 1200 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue at approximately 8:20 a.m. on Dec. 29.

 

Sexual misconduct

• A sexual assault that occurred in September 2019 was reported in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place at 9:15 a.m. on Dec. 29. The reporting party told officers that she “waited to report it until now because she’s scared of (the suspect),” according to the Chehalis Police Department.

 

Suspicious circumstances

• A woman reported a male subject in a vehicle pointed an assault rifle at her in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 10:05 a.m. on Dec. 29 after she confronted the driver for driving the wrong way.

 

Hit-and-run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 11:55 a.m. on Dec. 29.

 

Vehicle accident

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and Northwest Arkansas Way just before 5:50 p.m. on Dec. 29.

 

Disorderly conduct

• A male subject was reportedly throwing rocks at cars in the 600 block of West Main Street at 1:40 p.m. on Dec. 29.

 

FIRE AND EMS CALLS

• Between Friday morning and Monday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 70 illness-related calls, 16 injury-related calls, three fire-related calls, six non-emergency service calls, four vehicle accidents, four Lifeline medical alerts, three medical helicopter requests, one overdose, one 911-hangup call and three other calls.

 

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 159 inmates, including 146 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 114 were reported male and 32 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Monday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of eight inmates, including four booked by the Centralia Police Department, one booked by the state Department of Corrections, one booked by the Tulalip Tribe, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Court, one booked by the Skokomish Tribe and one booked by the Tulalip Tribe.
