CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle accidents

• A minor, non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Centralia College Boulevard and South Pearl Street just after 11 a.m. on Feb. 5.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and southbound Interstate 5 just before 7:45 a.m. on Feb. 6.

• A non-injury collision was reported on private property in the 1600 block of South Gold Street just after 5:05 p.m. on Feb. 6.

 

Hit-and-run

• A hit-and-run was reported in a parking lot in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue just before 1 p.m. on Feb. 6.

 

Criminal trespass

• A 30-year-old homeless woman from Centralia was trespassed from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at 11:40 a.m. on Feb. 5 for disorderly conduct.

• A 27-year-old Randle woman was arrested in the 100 block of North Tower Avenue at approximately 12:35 p.m. on Feb. 5 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for trespassing after he returned to a restaurant from which he was trespassed.

• A 31-year-old Bucoda woman was cited for trespassing just after 1:15 p.m. on Feb. 5 after she refused to leave a grocery store in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue.

• Two homeless people from Winlock were asked to move along from a railroad station in the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue at 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 5.

• A homeless person from Centralia was trespassed from a business in the 100 block of North Gold Street just after 10 p.m. on Feb. 6 for yelling at employees.

• Two Centralia residents were cited for trespassing in the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard just before 2:15 a.m. on Feb. 7.

 

Recovered vehicle

• A vehicle reported stolen out of Lakewood was recovered at the intersection of North Pearl and West Main streets at 2:35 p.m. on Feb. 5 after officers received an alert from the Flock Safety System. The case is under investigation.

 

Extortion

• An “incident of alleged extortion” reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 is under investigation.

 

Overdose

• Officers responded to a report of a drug overdose in the 1000 block of Grand Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 5. The patient became responsive after they were administered naloxone. The patient was transported to the hospital via ambulance for further medical treatment.

 

Theft

• A 23-year-old Centralia woman was referred to Centralia Municipal Court for third-degree theft, domestic violence just before 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 6 after she allegedly stole a cellphone from a family member in the 700 block of South Tower Avenue.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Criminal trespass

• Just before 9:10 a.m. on Feb. 5, a caller reported a motorhome had been illegally camping in the 2500 block of North National Avenue for the last two days.



• A male reportedly trespassed inside a laundry room in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Feb. 5.

• An RV was reportedly camping on private property in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way just after 12:05 p.m. on Feb. 5.

• Just after 6:25 p.m. on Feb. 5, staff at a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue asked officers to move along an elderly male subject who had been in the business’s bathroom for the last two hours.

• Just after 2 p.m. on Feb. 6, a caller requested a welfare check on a 45-year-old male subject who was reportedly trespassing under the overpass in the 800 block of state Route 6.

 

Dispute

• A verbal dispute over a cat was reported in the 10 block of Southwest Seventh Street just after 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 5.

 

Scam

• A computer scam was reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue just after 3:20 p.m. on Feb. 5.

 

Harassment

• Possible harassment was reported in the 300 block of Southwest McFadden Avenue at 5:50 p.m. on Feb. 5. The caller was advised to get a civil anti-harassment order.

 

Theft

• A woman was cited for trespassing in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 6.

 

Juvenile problem

• Just after 10:05 p.m. on Feb. 6, an employee at a business in the 600 block of West Main Street reported a 15-year-old boy who said he ran away from home was inside the store. The caller said the boy was “not being a problem, just seems lost.”

 

Disorderly conduct

• A noise complaint was made in the 500 block of Northeast Adams Avenue just after 10:45 p.m. on Feb. 6.

 

Hit-and-run

• A pedestrian suffered a possible concussion after they were hit by a vehicle in the 300 block of West Main Street at 2:55 a.m. on Feb. 7. The vehicle fled the scene.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 135 inmates, including 121 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 97 were reported male and 24 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 12 were reported male and two were reported female.
