Sirens: Teenager pushes grandmother down; Woman arrested after threatening officer with bodily harm

Theft

• A man reportedly “ate several doughnuts before leaving a store and not paying for them” in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just before 2:25 p.m. on Dec. 22. He left the scene before officers arrived.

• Two pairs of shoes, with an estimated total value of $200, were reported stolen from a business in the 1300 block of Lum Road just before 4:10 p.m. on Dec. 22.

• A woman reportedly stole a pair of jeans from a store in the 1200 block of Lum Road at 4:50 p.m. on Dec. 22. The woman denied stealing the jeans, which police did not find.

 

Vehicle accident

• A minor-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of North Pearl and West Sixth streets just after 9:05 p.m. on Dec. 22.

 

Assault

• A teenage boy was arrested in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road just after 2:25 a.m. on Dec. 23 and was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, for allegedly “pushing his grandmother down and causing a minor injury to her arm.”



 

Intimidating a public servant

• A 54-year-old Winlock woman was arrested in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 7 a.m. on Dec. 23 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for intimidating a public servant after she allegedly “threatened the officer with bodily harm.” Officers had initially contacted her for allegedly stealing items from a convenience store. She reportedly “became non-compliant when told she was under arrest,” according to the Centralia Police Department.

 

Criminal trespass

• A homeless man from Longview was trespassed from a business in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue just before 7:15 a.m. on Dec. 23 after he was “located inside the fenced garbage can area with a small fire going inside a one-gallon tin can.”

 

Drug violation

• Officers contacted two subjects in a vehicle behind a motel in the 1200 block of Mellen Street just after 11:20 a.m. on Dec. 22. After officers saw drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, they acquired a search warrant and found “illegal drugs, money, scales and a firearm.” One of the two subjects, a 46-year-old Tacoma man, was arrested at a nearby store. The other subject, a 32-year-old Tacoma woman, left the area on foot and wasn’t located. She has been referred on charges of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver.
