Six area wrestlers won their respective classifications at the Wrangle Wrestler Tournament on Saturday in Rochester, including three W.F. West wrestlers.
Lewis Allen (138), Liam Land (144) and Race Saclici (150) were the victorious Bearcats, while Alexander Mathuzima (144) placed second.
Napavine’s Peyton Hernandez (132) and Onalaska’s Kyle Brockway (215) also came away with victories, while Onalaska’s Wyatt Gose finished as the runner-up at 175.
Tumwater’s Antonio Hernandez (106) rounded out the local victors, while fellow T-Bird Aiden Sievert earned a second-place finish at 165.
Among other top-3 finishers from the area were Adna’s Cohen Hartly (132) and Tenino’s Koy Knox (190), who both finished second, and Tenino’s Gavin Derrick (106), who placed third.
Rochester’s Maddox Rodgers (165), Christopher Tartios (190), and Tyler Monk (190) all placed fourth.
Six Black Hills wrestlers earn top-3 finish at Ramrock Invitational
Black Hills had some wrestlers at the Warrior Wrangle in Rochester, but several other Wolves competed at the Ramrock Invitational at North Thurston High School.
Aiden Labouff (126), Jude Bender (132) and Roberto Rivera-Jesus (113) all placed second, while Rorek Foss (126), Porter Neklason (150), and Ammon Combs (190) placed third.
