Six people were rescued after a fishing boat capsized on the Columbia River on Wednesday, but another person remains missing, the Hood River Sheriff’s Office reported.

Rescuers arrived at the 24-foot boat near the mouth of the White Salmon River within 15 minutes of a 911 call coming in. They quickly pulled the six fishers out of the water, officials said. Two were taken to a local hospital.

Officials have not released any details about what happened or the names of those rescued.

The search for the missing person, who also hasn’t been publicly identified, will resume Thursday morning, the sheriff’s office said.

The search on the water by multiple law-enforcement and civilian vessels was aided by a Hood River County Sheriff’s Office plane and a Coast Guard helicopter.
