A Skamania County man who escaped from a work crew earlier this month near the Bonneville Dam was arrested last week in Washougal.

Cody Alan Bliss, 28, of Carson, was serving a supervised, in-custody work crew assignment for a felony eluding conviction when he escaped, according to the Skamania County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office said in a news release that it received tips about his whereabouts and that he is suspected in crimes in Clark and Skamania counties since his escape.

The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force surveilled several properties in Clark County, and Bliss was arrested without incident June 15 at an apartment complex in Washougal, the news release states.

Officers also arrested Courtney M. Palmer, 31, of Stevenson, for a Skamania County warrant for rendering criminal assistance, according to the sheriff's office.

Bliss and Palmer were booked into the Skamania County Jail.
