The Southwest Washington Dance Center (SWDC) has hired Brianna Jones as its new artistic director.
“Brianna brings an amazing resume as a performer and instructor to her position as the artistic director. She has been on staff at SWDC for several years and we are excited to move into the next chapter of excellence as a dance school and performing company under Brianna’s direction,” SWDC said in a news release.
Jones grew up at SWDC, beginning her dance career at the age of 3. She will oversee a teaching staff of 21 instructors and will work with the performing company, Southwest Washington Dance Ensemble. She will also direct SWDC’s annual Nutcracker and Dance Festival Northwest productions.
