The Southwest Washington Dance Center will host its 28th annual Dance Festival Northwest, on Saturday, March 19, at 7 p.m.

Dance Festival Northwest brings dance companies from around the Pacific Northwest to the Twin Cities. Dancers attend master dance classes together as a group and each individual company performs dance pieces that they have prepared at Corbet Theater in Centralia. This year will include a diverse range of dances from contemporary and classical ballet on pointe, modern/contemporary dance, tap, jazz and hip-hop.

For over 39 years, Southwest Washington Dance Ensemble has performed for audiences at the Lewis County Community Concerts, the Miss Lewis County Pageant, The Nutcracker Ballet, Northwest Wind Symphony and the Merce Cunningham Tribute.

Visiting companies at the festival this year include Ballet Northwest from Olympia, Harbor Dance & Performance Center from Gig Harbor, Johansen Olympia Dance Center from Olympia, Momentum Dance Ensemble from Burien and Studio West Dance Theatre from Olympia.

Tickets cost $20 for adults, $15 for seniors (62 and older), students, military and children or $20 to livestream or download the performance digitally.
