Though Toledo baseball’s Rogan Stanley had a bit of trouble out of the gate, after hitting a batter and walking another in the first inning, the Toledo slinger retired the 12 of the next 13 batters without allowing a hit in a 14-0 win over Winlock Wednesday afternoon in Egg Town.
Stanley hit two batters, and walked one, but was otherwise dominant, striking out 12 of the 17 batters he faced Wednesday afternoon in a rivalry matchup.
At the dish, Kaven Winters went 2 for 3 with a run scored and a pair of RBIs, Caiden Schultz went 3 for 4 with three runs scored and an RBI, and Zane Ranney went 1 for 1 with two runs scored and an RBI knock.
The Riverhawks and Cardinals will play again Thursday, this time in Cheese Town, at 4 p.m.
