Jan Robinson of the Chehalis River Basin Land Trust helps a fourth-grade student from Montesano during a tree planting event Thursday at the Discovery Trail.
The Centralia Streamteam and Chehalis River Basin Land Trust have scheduled a restoration work party for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Discovery Trail at 1544 Goodrich Road.
The City of Centralia will provide native shrubs to plant along the trail where blackberry bushes were removed.
The shrubs are bare root and must be planted as soon as possible. Adults and teens can volunteer and should bring gloves and a shovel. They should plan to dress for the weather.
