The Tumwater baseball team took care of its neighbor Black Hills 14-0 in a five-inning road EvCo contest Thursday to earn its ninth straight league win, including three against the Wolves.

Spencer Fillippone, Braeden Konrad and Zion Baker combined to hold the Wolves to just two hits while striking out 11, and Black Hills didn’t record its first hit until the fifth inning.

Tumwater scored in every inning, opening the game with two runs in the first before exploding for 10 combined in the second and third. Cody Lambert fueled the offensive attack with a pair of RBI singles, and Derek Thompson drilled his third home run of the year to open up a 12-0 lead in the third.

Tumwater (11-4, 9-0 EvCo) remains perfect in league play, outscoring EvCo opponents 103-11. In three games against Black Hills, the T-Birds only allowed three runs while scoring 48. They will look to remain on a tear in the EvCo when they face Centralia (1-14, 1-8 EvCo) on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the second game coming at home.

Black Hills (2-8, 1-7 EvCo) gets three straight games against Aberdeen on Tuesday and Wednesday, starting with a doubleheader at home on Tuesday before hitting the road Wednesday.
