T-Birds race past Bobcats, push league win streak to a dozen

The Tumwater baseball team earned another league win on Friday, defeating Aberdeen 12-0 in five innings to improve to 12-0 in EvCo play.

After a scoreless first, Tumwater pulled away with a seven-run second before adding four in the third and tacking on another run in the fourth,

Luke Houk (three innings), Zion Baker (one inning), and Jimmy Womach (one inning) shut down the Bobcat lineup, allowing just two hits and combining for five strikeouts in the five frames,

Womach added a home run and drove in four runs at the plate, while Charlie Crawford added a pair of hits, including a triple, and drove in a run. Luke Overbay also added two hits, including a double, added an RBI, and he scored two runs.

Tumwater (14-4, 12-0 2A EvCo) will host W.F. West on Monday before heading to Chehalis to face the Bearcats again on Tuesday. The T-Birds enter those two matchups one game ahead of W.F. West atop the EvCo standings.
