It wasn’t the prettiest game from start to finish for Morton-White Pass on Wednesday, but the Timberwolves did just enough to hold on to a 59-54 victory over Toutle Lake.
“We still have a lot of polishing to do,” Morton-White Pass coach Kevin Dunlap said. “But overall, I’m happy to get the win.”
The two sides were separated by just three points at halftime, but Toutle Lake scored 23 points in the third to take a lead into the fourth.
MWP followed with a great offensive quarter of its own, scoring 25 in the final frame to come away with the win.
“We started getting the ball moving a little more and were able to open things up,” Dunlap said.
Judah Kelly led the way offensively with 34 points and seven rebounds, while Noah Troy hit a trio of threes to score nine. Logan Mays dished out six assists while scoring five points and grabbing three steals.
MWP (3-2, 2-2 C2BL) will head to Rainier on Friday.
