The Morton-White Pass girls basketball team had no issues shutting down Wahkiakum on Thursday night, as the Timberwolves left with a 40-29 victory in their season opener.
The Mules only managed more than seven points in one quarter, which allowed Morton-White Pass to slowly build a lead as the game went along.
Keira Miller led the T-Wolves in scoring with 12 points, while Malia Armstrong added nine. Madyson Bryant and Ryelin Wiedenmann scored six each.
The T-Wolves (1-0) will hit the road for the first time this season on Monday, when they head south to take on Kalama.
