Just five Beavers reached base after the first inning and struggled to add runs in losing 6-3 to the Rams on Saturday afternoon at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma.
Tenino (13-5) jumped out ahead 2-0 on a single by Tyler Lewis with two outs. The frame ended with a pickoff at first base and North Thurston took advantage with a four-spot in the bottom half to take the lead for good.
Austin Gonia ripped a leadoff triple in the fifth and crossed home on an RBI single by Jude Leitch. Gonia, who stole three bases in a 2-for-2 day at the plate, also earned the start and tossed four innings.
Tenino will end the Evergreen League season with a Tuesday doubleheader versus Hoquiam and a Wednesday non-league tilt versus Adna.
