Tenino Falls in Straight Sets to Elma

Still searching for its first win, the Tenino volleyball team fell in straight sets Thursday night at home to Elma (25-22, 25-21, 25-4).

The Beavers kept pace in the first two sets, creating more offensive chances than in previous weeks, per coach Wanda Blanksma.

“The girls were clicking,” she said. “They’ve been trying hard to improve. They’re coming together and creating more opportunities offensively.”

Blanksma said that the Beavers are working on playing more relaxed, and putting less pressure on themselves during every point.

A bright spot for Tenino, middle Raelynn Wilson was a perfect 15 for 15 serving for the Beavers. They’ll get back after it at Three Rivers Christian on Saturday.
