The Tenino football team announced Wednesday on Twitter that a previously scheduled home contest against Klahowya on September 16 has been moved to the following day, and will be a part of the Lumen Field youth sports event hosted by Playbook Sports in Seattle at 12:15 p.m.

Playbook Sports, an East Coast-based youth sports software company, is setting up the event for the second time at Lumen, and along with a few high school football games, will host several youth sports camps and events to raise money for those programs.

North Kitsap and Port Angeles will play at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, and were the first matchup announced on Twitter, and so far, Tenino and Klahowya is the lone other matchup in the works.

The Beavers are coming off a historic season that saw them finish as league runners-up and make a run to the state quarterfinals with a 10-2 record.

Tenino will open its football season on the road in Pe Ell against 2B Pe Ell-Willapa Valley on September 2, before its home opener against Sequim on September 9.
