Thurston County Auditor’s Office seeks ‘against’ committee members for upcoming special election school district ballot measures

The Thurston County Auditor’s Election Office is looking for “against” committee members to help provide written arguments against ballot measures for the local voters’ guide pamphlet as voters prepare for the upcoming Feb. 13 special election. 

“Against” committee members must reside within the district running the measure on the ballot. Those districts and measures include: 

• Olympia School District No. 111, proposition 1

• Rainier School District No. 307, propositions 1 and 2

• Rochester School District No. 401, propositions 1 and 2

• Tenino School District No. 402, proposition 1



• Tumwater School District No. 33, proposition 1

• Yelm Community Schools, proposition 1

Any resident of these districts interested in becoming an “against” committee member must apply by Dec. 18. 

To submit your name for the committee, email a completed “for/against” committee appointment form to pamphlet@co.thurston.wa.us or drop off the completed form at the Thurston County Auditor’s Election Office, located at 2400 Evergreen Park Drive SW in Olympia.
