Centralia boys wrestling picked up just three victories as the Tigers took a 53-24 loss on the road to Shelton in 2A Evergreen Conference action on Wednesday.
Tiger sophomore and top-ranked Antonio Campos collected the only non-forfeit win for Centralia, jumping out to a 15-point lead before pinning his opponent in 3:22 in the 120-pound weight class. That runs Campos’ high-school career record to 32-0.
Izaiah Marquez and William Stinkeoaway each registered forfeit victories for Centralia as well in the 220- and 285-pound weight classes, respectively.
“The boys need some experience and everyone is scrambling to find tournaments,” Centralia coach Scott Phillips said.
On the girls side, Analeese Mcallister, Willa Phillips and Anna Stinkeoway each picked up victories, with Mcallister beating two Shelton opponents at the 140-pound weight class.
