Tigers Blow Out Loggers

Posted

Four Napavine boys basketball players scored in double figures, and the Tigers ran past Onalaska at home in a league contest Tuesday night, 98-40.

The Tigers were led once again by the scoring prowess of James Grose, who dropped a game-high 29 points, and Karsen Denault and Jarin Prather added 16 and 17 points to round out the starters double figure scoring, respectively.

Off the bench, Cal Bullock added 16 points as the Tigers shot 57% from the field in a blowout win.

The Loggers shot the ball alright, making eight of 15 3-point attempts, but turned the ball over 31 times in the loss. Nick Rushton scored a team-high 12 points for Onalaska.

The Loggers will play host to Toledo on Thursday, as first-year coach Brent Wood takes on his former coach Grady Fallon for the first time at 7 p.m. The Tigers will hope to keep it rolling against Wahkiakum in Cathlamet.
