Tigers Can’t Keep Up With Bulldogs

In a game that wasn’t close from start-to-finish, the Napavine girls basketball team lost in Chelan to one of the top teams in the state, Okanogan, 56-18, Wednesday.

The Tigers had four players score four points to lead them in the scoring column, while the Bulldogs had three players in double figures.

“Okanogan is a well-coached and very talented basketball team,” coach Shane Schutz said. “They showed us why they are one of the top teams in the state … This game was good for us to see what it takes to play at a high level. We will continue to get better and grow from this experience.”

Napavine will look to turn things around when it takes on Rainier for its next league game on Jan. 5.
