Tigers Defeat Bobcats After Short Layoff

Coming back strong from spring break, the Centralia girls tennis team defeated Aberdeen on the road Tuesday afternoon, 4-2. 

First singles: Olivia Norris (CEN) def. Hadley Ritter (ABD) 6-3, 6-1

Second singles: Macy Cogburn (ABD) def. Brook Frakes (CEN) 6-2, 6-0

Third singles: Suki Bringman (CEN) def. Natalie Mareth (ABD) 6-2, 6-3

First doubles: Maya Lackie and Maddy Breckel (CEN) def. Madi Ritter and Ashlee Jacobs (ABD) 6-0, 6-0



Second doubles: Sophia Wiley and Aydan Butler (CEN) def. Monse Lopez and Clowe Stolen (ABD) 6-0, 6-0

Third doubles: Annika Natwick and Kim Membreno (ABD) def. Marianna Guerrero and Ruby Cabellero (CEN) 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) 

“The girls had a good showing coming off spring break,” Centralia coach Scott Snyder said. “Olivia Norris at first singles had a good match and at third singles Suki Bringman worked hard for her win.” 

The Tigers will get another league match in against Black Hills on the road Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
