Tigers Finish Regular Season Perfect With Win Over T-Wolves

After all the dust has settled in league play, Napavine will be one of just two teams in the Central 2B Football League to finish the regular season perfect.

The Tigers did exactly what they’ve done all year in league, beating Morton-White Pass Thursday, 46-8.

“They’re everything they’re advertised to be,” Timberwolves coach Lee Metcalf said. “We just couldn’t handle them, they have a lot of good weapons. That’s a good team.”

Napavine’s two-headed monster of quarterback Ashton Demarest and tailback Gavin Parker accounted for four touchdowns, and the Tigers ran for 300 yards in the victory.

The Timberwolves, meanwhile, ran into a stingy Tigers defense, and put up just 151 yards of total offense, and couldn’t find the end zone until the fourth quarter.

The Tigers, having already clinched the top seed in the C2BL North, will host the loser of the makeup game being played Monday between Adna and Wahkiakum. That game will be on Friday or Saturday next week.

The Timberwolves will head to Onalaska in a matchup between the North’s four-seed and the South’s two-seed.
