Make it two straight 50-point wins for the Napavine girls basketball team, which defeated Aberdeen 64-12 on Tuesday evening.

“Back-to-back games early in the season can be tough,” Napavine coach Shane Schutz said. “I thought we responded pretty well to that tonight.”

The Tigers allowed just one point in the first, five in the second, and three in both of the final two frames while building an insurmountable lead with 17 or more in each of the first three quarters.

Nine different Tigers got on the board, including three who scored 10 or more. Hayden Kaut led the way with 16 points, while Jessie McCoy added 12 and Taylen Evander hit 10.

As a team, Napavine tallied 23 steals and logged 18 assists. Hannah Fay had a team-high five assists along with nine points and three steals, while Ava Ondong had a team-high eight rebounds.

Napavine (3-1) will face another 2A opponent on Monday, when it hosts Ridgefield.
