In one final scheduled non-league contest, the 2B No. 8 Napavine boys basketball team punched up a classification to hand 1A Elma a 72-64 loss in Grays Harbor Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers made ten more 3-pointers than the Eagles, with 13 made shots from distance opposed to the Eagles’ three. With a lead as large as 17 in the third, the Eagles made a late push to hang around, but Napavine put them away late for the final non-league win.

James Grose led the Tigers with 27 points and made five 3-pointers, and Jarin Prather (11 points), Cayle Kelly (10 points), and Cal Bullock (10 points) also scored in double figures.

The Tigers return to Central 2B league play against Winlock on the road Tuesday.
