The Centralia boys soccer team held off Raymond-South Bend Tuesday night at home to win, 3-2.

The match stayed tied at 0-0 through the first half, with both teams battling to strike the first goal. Three minutes into the second half Centralia’s Sammy Carpio found the back of the net for the game's first goal in the 43rd minute.

The Tigers opened things wide open after that with a Alan Cox goal in the 51st minute, off of an Angel Rojas corner kick. Shortly after, Kilmer Alverto scored from a Carpio assist to set the score at 3-0 in the 59th minute.

The Riptide were able to put up two goals late in the match, but the Tigers held on to their lead and fought off the comeback, ending the match with a 3-2 victory.

With only two games remaining in regular season play, the Tigers will look to keep their momentum rolling into Black Hills on Friday.
