Centralia nabbed a victory in No. 1 doubles but couldn’t gain anymore ground in a 5-1 loss at Tumwater on Thursday in 2A Evergreen Conference play.
In No. 1 singles, Tumwater’s Sawyer Lougheed defeated Centralia’s Jacoby Corwin, 6-3, 6-3. In No. 2 singles, Tumwater’s Tanner Brewer defeated Centralia’s Antonio Almanza, 6-2, 6-0. And in No. 3 singles, Tumwater’s Lucas Markanan defeated Centralia’s Jordan Yeung, 6-1. 6-2.
On the doubles side, Centralia’s Landon Kaut and Brandon Yeung defeated Tumwater’s Caleb Peterson and Cody Lamberg, 6-1, 6-1. In No. 2 doubles, Tumwater’s Gavin Feldman and Lawson Lougheed defeated Centralia’s David Parsons and Justin Kuykendal, 6-1, 6-4. Centralia forfeited No. 3 doubles.
The Tigers (1-3-3) travel to Eatonville next week.
