The Napavine baseball team topped Onalaska 11-1 on Wednesday, moving into sole possession of second place in the Central 2B League standings.
The win also snapped the Tigers’ three-game losing streak.
Layton Griffith had another great day on the bump, allowing just three hits and one run while striking out eight across six innings. He added a double and two runs batted in at the plate.
Hudson Chambers added three hits and an RBI, C Shea collected two hits, and five other Tigers added an RBI.
Cooper Lawrence drove in Onalaska’s lone run, and Maddox McKinley, Desean Stewart, and Jacob Meiss collected the Loggers’ three hits.
Onalaska (5-13, 5-10 C2BL) and Napavine (14-5, 12-3 C2BL) will play again on Friday in Napavine. If the Tigers win, they’ll clinch the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the District 4 Tournament.
