Timberland Regional Libraries Start Opening More Services for Public in Phased Approach

Posted

After months of closures and limited services, Lewis County Timberland Regional Libraries (TRL) have started reopening to the public and offering more services in a phased approach that began March 1.

The Centralia Timberland Regional Library is now allowing booking for computer use in addition to the “library takeout” program that has been operational throughout most of the pandemic. Starting April 1, the Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Regional Library will open for in-person browsing, bookings for computer use and drive-through book takeout.

The library take-out program allows patrons to call library staff, explain the kind of book they’re looking for and pick it up outside of the library with limited contact with staff.

On March 1, in-person browsing became available at the Timberland Regional Libraries in Winlock, Packwood, Randle and Salkum in addition to bookings for computer use and the library takeout program.

More information about the local library hours and available services can be found on the Timberland Regional Library website — www.trl.org/plan.
