Brecken Pelletier led the T-Wolves’ vicious running attack, rushing 11 times for 120 yards and two scores while also catching an 18-yard touchdown pass.

Collette ran seven times for 82 yards and one score and threw for two more TDs, including a 17-yarder to Hunter Hazen.

Kysen Collette was MWP’s leading rusher, carrying 12 times for 141 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown. The Timberwolves ran for 385 yards as a team.

MWP coach Lee Metcalf was impressed with Pelletier and Judah Kelly, who stepped up in the backfield with Peyton Brown out and Carter Dantinne playing only defense to heal an injury. Dantinne scored the opening touchdown of the game on a 3-yard fumble return.

“The backup kids played well,” Metcalf said. Any time you run for over 100 yards with a backup is nice.”

The Timberwolves defense was equally impressive, holding Ilwaco to just 31 yards of offense and one first down.

MWP improves to 3-1 overall and travels to Pe Ell for a matchup with Pe Ell-Willapa Valley on Friday.
