Titans Crush Chief Leschi in Doubleheader

Against an inexperienced Chief Leschi squad, the Pe Ell-Willapa Valley softball team won its doubleheader in dominant fashion, 25-0 and 17-0.

In the first game, Olivia Matlock had a three run home run shot, and Grace Huber and Lauren Matlock each finished with triples in a strong performance.

“We had good energy and approach at the plate and played solid defense,” Titans coach Ken Olson said. “We brought 16 players to the DH and all players had at least 3 at bats, so for that, it was a solid DH.”

In the second game, Matlock hit another home run to go along with two RBIs. Raegan Portman launched one over the fence as well, tacking on four RBIs. The Titans finished with seven hits in the 17-0 win.

The Titans will take on Yelm and Bellevue at Auburn Riverside on Saturday next.
