Trailblazers Beat Clippers In All-Around Team Effort

The Centralia Community College women's basketball team went head-to-head with South Puget Sound Community College in the Hub City, where the Trailblazers came out victorious, 72-60.

Rochester alum Paige Winter led the Blazers in scoring with 22 points and 12 rebounds, and Najahia Forks had 14 points and 6 rebounds off the bench, but it was a great all-around team effort for the Trailblazers.

“We were on fire to start the game, we literally couldn’t miss,” Trailblazers coach Caleb Sells said. “They switched up their defense the rest of the game and it slowed us down a bit. But we were to play well enough to take advantage of the big lead we built early.”

Centralia (8-5, 2-0 NWAC) takes on Lower Columbia Community College (13-1, 3-0 NWAC) in Longview Wednesday.
