The Pe Ell boys basketball team struggled in the middle periods on Tuesday against Naselle, as the Comets pulled away for a 53-33 victory.

It was all tied up at 11 after one, but the Trojans (7-12, 7-6 1B Columbia Valley) were outscored 33-9 across the second and third quarters.

Carter Phelps led the Trojans with 10 points, while Kohl Perkins and Jakob Hayes scored four each. Calan McCarty, Black Howard, Isaiah Workman, and Liam McGrath all added three.

Pe Ell will finish its regular season on Thursday at Columbia Adventist.
