Playing in friendly confines, the Pe Ell volleyball team couldn’t produce a win at home Thursday in a four-set defeat (25-14, 25-18, 23-25, 25-22) to Firm Foundation.
Madi Engel finished with a team-high seven kills and Brookelynn King was perfect at the service line, but the Trojans had too tough of a time in serve receive early.
“The next two sets we finally started playing and those were two of the best we have played so far this season,” Trojans coach Eddi Peterson said. “We had some long scrappy volleys and a couple of good blocks.”
The Trojans (2-3, 0-3 1B CVL) takes on Mossyrock on the road next Tuesday for another league contest.
