It didn’t take long for the Pe Ell boys basketball team to take control Tuesday night, as the Trojans ran away with a 72-30 victory over the Washington School for the Deaf.
The Trojans scored 21 points in the first to build a 16-point lead, and they built on that lead with a 25-point third.
“We were able to come out and execute our game plan,” Pe Ell coach Ross Hojem said. “Our defense set the tone and we were able to find our guys in transition.”
Eleven different Trojans scored, including Blake Nelson, who led the team with 14 points. Silas Edgar scored 12 and grabbed six rebounds, while Calan McCarty scored nine points and nabbed five steals. Wyatt Harris scored nine points of his own.
Pe Ell (4-2, 2-0 1B CVL) will be back at home on Thursday against Firm Foundation.
