The Pe Ell girls basketball team wasn’t at full strength on Tuesday, but the Trojans were still able to do more than enough in a 52-21 win over the Washington School for the Deaf.
The Trojans were missing two starting guards, but were still able to build an 18-4 lead after one.
Madi Engel had a solid day at point guard, tallying five points while dishing out eight assists and grabbing five rebounds.
“She saw the floor and did a nice job of finding the posts inside,” Pe Ell coach Kelsey Lennox said.
Peyton Zock was dominant on the inside, posting a 23-point, 12-rebound double-double while adding four assists. Maisy King and Emma Kissner both scored eight points, and King added three steals.
Rudy Magruder and Ava King had nice games all-around, as Magruder logger, six points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals, while King recorded six rebounds, three steals, two points, and two assists of her own.
Pe Ell (6-0, 2-0 1B CVL) will look to push its win streak to seven when it hosts Rochester on Thursday.
