The Tumwater softball team took care of business at home on Wednesday, blowing past Shelton 25-3.
Eleven different T-Birds combined for 20 hits, and 10 different Thunderbirds combined to drive in 22 runs. Jamie Haase drove in five runs on three hits to lead the team, while Elizabeth McCartney hit two doubles and drove in four runs.
Cassie McCartney went 4 for 4 at the plate, hitting a triple, a double, and driving in two runs, and Brielle Womach drove in three runs on two hits.
Sophie Sklimman and Erika Schock also drove in two runs apiece.
Tumwater (8-2, 6-1 2A EvCo) will head to Aberdeen on Thursday, and the winner of that matchup will move into sole possession of first place in the EvCo standings.
