The Tumwater softball team put up a baker’s dozen on Monday, rolling past Shelton for a 13-3 win.

The Thunderbirds scored in every inning but two, and it’s the most runs Tumwater has scored in a game this season.

After scoring twice in the second to open the scoring, the T-Birds added four in the third, one in the fourth and sixth, and five in the seventh to get to 13.

Zoe Fields, Jamie Haase, and Marissa La Praim each logged two base hits, and they combined for five runs batted in.

Sarah Stevens and Elizabeth McCartney combined for another two hits and another five RBIs, while Erika Schock and Chloe Foos brought home one run apiece.

Ella Ferguson pitched six innings, allowing three hits and three earned runs while striking out 14 without issuing a free pass. Stevens pitched the seventh, striking out two without allowing a hit.

Tumwater (4-1, 2-0 2A EvCo) will hit the road again on Tuesday, when it will face Centralia.
