The Toledo/Winlock United soccer team was handed its first loss of the season on Monday, as Fort Vancouver left Toledo with a 7-1 victory.

The first half was all Trappers, as they scored four goals to go into the locker room with all the momentum.

Mateo Leon got United on the board in the 60th minute with a goal off an assist from Christof Danger, but that was all that United was able to get offensively.

“We got better in the second half,” United co-coach Horst Malunat said. “Hopefully we’ll improve and get better, and that’s the only thing we can keep asking of the kids.”

United (1-1, 0-1 1A Trico) will be back at Toledo on Wednesday to face Onalaska.
