Vikings Blast Comets in League Battle

Reversing its previous fortunes against Naselle teams of the past, the Mossyrock boys basketball team defeated the Comets on the road Tuesday night, 73-47 in a dominant display.

We finally got the monkey off our back,” Vikings assistant coach Kelly Ross said. “Naselle hasn’t been too friendly to us in the past so it was nice to get the win.”

Easton Kolb led the charge when the game turned in the second quarter, and ended up with a game-high 18 points to lead the Vikings. Zack Munoz added 14 points and Hunter Isom came off the bench to score nine points and help Mossyrock overcome an early deficit on the boards.

Keegan Kolb also added 12 points in the dominant league win.

Naselle was led by Kolten Lindstrom’s 14 points, but otherwise struggled to score against a vicious Mossyrock defense.

The Vikings will look to keep it rolling against Onalaska after a 10-day break.
