The Mossyrock baseball team had its best offensive showing of the season on Wednesday, when the Vikings beat Onalaska 17-10 to complete a sweep of the Loggers.

The Vikings scored in every inning, which was crucial after Onalaska scored 10 runs in the first three innings to take a 10-7 lead after three.

Three Mossyrock runs in the fourth tied things up, and seven runs across the final three innings helped them take control.

Wylde Greisen had three hits and three runs batted in, and Shaun Fry also brought home three runs. Easton Kolb hit two doubles and drove in a run, and Mason Atter allowed just one hit and struck out three in two innings of relief.

Greisen pitched the first five innings, settling in after the third to finish with five strikeouts and earn the win.

“Wydle pitched a good game,” Mossyrock coach Darren Kolb said. “In the latter innings, we did help him. We made good plays and looked good  for four innings.”

Desean Stewart tallied three hits, including a triple, and three RBIs, while Blaze Underhill hit two doubles and drove in two runs. Broden Vickers also drove in a pair as part of his two-hit day.

Both teams are back on Friday, when Onalaska (5-9, 5-7 C2BL) hosts Toutle Lake and Mossyrock (6-6, 6-6 C2BL) hosts Toledo.

“The Toledo series will be a big one,” Darren Kolb said. “Friday will be a big one. If we make some plays and put the ball in play, we could win.”
