Vikings Continue Hot Streak With 12th-Straight Win

Mossyrock junior Payton Torrey blasted a match-high 18 kills and the Vikings had no trouble disposing of Columbia Adventist on the road (25-9, 25-14, 25-11) in 1B Columbia Valley League action on Tuesday.

The Vikings, who clinched their third-straight league title on Monday, have now won 12-straight matches and are 14-1 overall and 10-0 in league now.

Torrey went on a torrent, hitting .571 against the Kodiaks, adding four digs and two aces. Erin Cournyer, normally known for her precise setting, notched seven kills on a .545 hitting percentage, and added seven digs to go with nine assists and one ace with 100% serving.



Hailey Brooks tallied four kills, served 95% and added six digs and a match-high eight aces. Jolee Hadaller contributed four kills and three digs, while Caelyn Marshall led the team with 15 assists and nine digs to go with four aces. Abbie Lovan and Gwynn Armstrong each served 100%.

Next up for Mossyrock is senior night at 7 p.m. on Wednesday versus league rival Willapa Valley.
