The Mossyrock girls basketball team handled its business in Cowlitz County on Tuesday, beating Three Rivers Christian for the second time this season, 67-31.

Payton Torrey led the Vikings with 22 and nearly came away with a triple-double, finishing with 11 steals and eight rebounds. Hailey Brooks added 13 points, and Abbie Lovan had eight, to go along with four steals.

"I was really impressed with Abbie Lovan’s offensive effort tonight," Mossyrock coach Autumn Moorcroft said. "She was getting steals, and looking to score tonight. That’s exactly what we need from her and I was excited to see it."

Mossyrock finished with nine players in the scoring column.

Mossyrock clamped down on defense early, holding its hosts to just three first-quarter points, and led 33-8 at halftime.

The Vikings will be off until Friday, when they’ll head to Pacific County for a 1B CVL showdown at Naselle.
