Mossyrock led 28-20 in the third quarter, trailed just 42-40 with 10 minutes to go but couldn’t hold on in a 50-40 defeat to Neah Bay in the 1B District 4 crossover playoffs Friday at Forks High School.

Quarterback Easton Kolb accounted for five total touchdowns, two on the ground, two through the air and a 68-yard kick return to the house.

But the Vikings were unable to bottle up Neah Bay’s Julian Carrick, who scored five of the Red Devil’s seven touchdowns, which included TD runs of 85 and 46 yards.

Mossyrock ends its season with a 5-5 overall record, and all five of its losses coming to opponents that are still alive in postseason play.
