Onalaska had the ball down two with nine seconds left but couldn’t get anything done as Mossyrock held onto a 59-57, non-league road victory on Monday.

Keegan Kolb scored a game-high 20 points while Zack Munoz added 14 points and the Vikings overcame the Loggers’ 21-point outburst in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

“We started great,” Onalaska coach Wayne Nelson said. “They changed their defense and we were outscored 14-5 in the second quarter and 24-7 in the third. In the fourth quarter, we battled back.”

The Loggers were led by Mason Ulery’s 19 points, while Kole Taylor chipped in 17 and Blaze Underhill finished with six.

Onalaska (3-12, 1-6 C2BL) hosts Stevenson Wednesday on senior night in a winner-to-district matchup.

Mossyrock continues 1B Columbia Valley League play when it hosts Columbia Adventist on Tuesday.
