Five Mossyrock players registered kills and the Vikings breezed past Three Rivers Christian in straight sets (25-14, 25-8, 25-14) on the road Tuesday in 1B Columbia Valley League action.
Paige Houghtelling and Erin Cournyer each led the Vikings with five kills, while Houghtelling added two digs and 91% serving with two aces. Cournyer served 100% with six aces nine assists.
Hailey Brooks had a match-high 10 aces on 94% serving to go with four kills and four digs.
“Excellent serving, especially Hailey,” Mossyrock coach Alex Nelson said. “All players did a great job placing the serve to keep it away from their strongest players. Kills from five different players created a balanced attack. Great decision-making from both setters.”
Caelyn Marshall had a team-high 10 assists with two kills, two aces and 100% serving. Payton Torrey added three kills with 90% serving, three aces and a team-high six digs.
The Vikings improve to 10-1 overall, 7-0 in league and have won nine straight matches. Mossyrock hosts league rival Naselle at 7 p.m. on Friday.
