Vikings start fast, roll to win over T-Wolves

The Mossyrock baseball got off to a quick start and never looked back on Wednesday, when it topped Morton-White Pass 13-3 in five innings.

The Vikings scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first to instantly take a massive lead, and they added three more in the fourth. Morton-White Pass was able to get one across in the third and add a pair in the fifth, but it wasn’t enough to force a sixth inning and beyond.

Wylde Greisen, Charlie Edgar, and Waylen Huguenin combined to no-hit MWP, strike out eight Timberwolves, and all three runs they combined to allow were unearned.

Kevin Mitchell and Austin Isom drove in two runs each, and six other Vikings tallied an RBI.

Carson Fleetwood collected MWP’s lone RBI on a groundout in the third inning.

MWP (0-17, 0-15) and Mossyrock (7-8, 7-8 C2BL) will face off again on Friday. It’ll be Mossyrock’s final game of the regular season, but the T-Wolves will have a doubleheader at Highland on Saturday.
