The Mossyrock girls basketball team started strong and never looked back Tuesday, cruising to a 55-30 win over Winlock.
The Vikings scored 26 points in the first to take a 20-point lead, and they pushed their lead to almost 30 before halftime.
“We did a good job of finding the open teammates and got good looks offensively,” Mossyrock coach Nick Rashoff said. “It was a physical game and the girls handled it well.”
Kendall Cournyer and Maci Rashoff led Mossyrock by both scoring 16 points, while Chesney Schultz added 13.
Victoria Sancho led Winlock with 11 points, while Cali Geehan scored nine and Natalie Cardenas tallied six.
Both teams will be at home on Thursday, as Mossyrock (4-1) will host Morton-White Pass, while Winlock (1-5) will face Toledo.
