Vikings top Riverhawks in four for sixth straight win

The Mossyrock volleyball team won its sixth game in a row on Monday night, defeating Toledo 21-25, 25-14, 25-9, 25-23.

Toledo took the first set, but the Riverhawks struggled in serve receive over the next two sets. The Vikings took advantage by building big leads in both, and they were able to hold off a late Toledo rally in Set 4 to win.

Ellie Fallon led Toledo with 19 digs and 11 kills, while Taysia Miller added 12 digs and six kills. Setter Sidney Kruger had 27 assists.

Mossyrock (10-4, 6-1 C2BL) will look to lock down the No. 2 seed in the district tournament with a win against Toutle Lake on Wednesday.

Toledo (5-10, 2-5 C2BL) will also finish its regular season on Wednesday in Morton. The winner of that game will finish sixth in the C2BL standings, meaning that they’ll avoid the double-pigtail that the No. 7 seed will have to begin district tournament play in.
