Nine Mossyrock players got in the scoring column and the Vikings had no trouble dispatching visiting Oakville for a 58-21, non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Vikings raced out to a 32-3 lead to start the game and never looked back, pulling their starters in the second half and cruising to victory.

Payton Torrey scored a game-high 12 points, all in the first quarter, while Delaney Marshall and Teaguen Weise each added eight points.

“Any time you can score 32 points in the first quarter is great,” Mossyrock coach Autumn Moorcroft said. “We ran the floor and got stops defensively. Everyone who suited up played great minutes tonight.”

Mossyrock next hosts Willapa Valley for the 1B Columbia Valley League title on Friday. The winner receives two byes to the district semifinal round.
